What I was talking about, Tom, is the
overall RC tanking hobby. Not with regard to any one brand of tank. Overall, we have tanks in the RC hobby that can conquer the same obstacles as real tanks, rotate turrets, elevate barrels, shoot (either light beams or BB's), make engine and operational noises (cannon booms, machine gun fire, etc.). But if you want to be in a contest,
a properly working HL has more authentic simulations than a Tamiya but only in two areas: smoking and they shoot an actual projectile.
I have Tamiya tanks (so low cost is not my condition). That aspect has been spoken of. What you fail to understand, and I suppose never will, is that my Heng Long as loathsome as it is, is my designated roundabout thrash-about tank. The one that gets tested with all forms of use and abuse. Even the "cheap paint abuse". Just because I have used cheaper paint to paint some things doesn't mean I use them
all the time. I got a HL solely to see how good it is. So far I'm impressed for the money.
One more thing. Get a life dude. How about a girlfriend? Or something. You spend too much time here and it shows.
I like you Tomzag, you're silly!
Signed, the ever cheerful,
-Harq
