Default RE: Twin Stick

If you don't mind hand launching or using a launcher, here's a twin delta built from a Diamond Dust single engine kit. I am using 2 OS .25FX with Jett tuned mufflers. The OS .40 LAs ought to be just right. I think the 2 .46s would make the plane way too nose heavy with nothing to move-the battery is already in the back.

It's really an easy airplane to fly. The first launch is exciting since you need to trim, but now it takes right off the launcher. I fold the rear table legs down to get it at an angle and I use a little, 1/8"-3/16", of up elevator set into the landing switch so it doesn't drop right off the end of the launcher. At about 50' or so I flip the switch off.

I have 2 landing skids on the bottom and land it on a hard surface runway. It comes in and touches down fairly slow; easier to land than most twins.

I have plans for the modification to the stock Dust kit.
