lawn boy ashless should be run at 32:1 mix.
it is possible you fried the motor .
I always run the mixture called for on the bottle of oil not
what the engine manufacturer give as a general mixture for their engine. All oils are designed with an optimum mixture ratio blended by the manufacturer, thats why i follow the instructions on the bottle or can.
There are varying opinions on this but this is what i have done for years and never had any problems.
