The third line with a fuel dot allows you a line dedicated to filling and emptying your tank. The line from the tank to the carb never gets disconnected. The overflow still goes to the muffler, and you use that to tell whether the tank is full. I run two clunks to the back of the tank, one for the carb line and one for the fuel dot line. It's a great system.
