Well remember this one. The girl I worked with was the GCA radar tracker for this inbound flight. The GCA radar operator was blamed for the crash. He never recovered from it. She always maintained that it was not the operators fault as the weather really wasn't on for a landing at that time and the crew insisted on landing. There was (is?) a theory that the Air Marshall on board was flying the approach. Do read the link above. . it tells it like it was.
