Default RE: first flight Taube 90

Hi all

I finally have a good match. The Zenoah went right on. I did however have to cut away from the fuse side to get the 23 mounted. I could have limited this by buying an after market muffler. I had 2 good flights. I used a 16x8 prop and the taube did not like it to well, so I am going to try a 15x6 10 or a 15x10. I do not know for sure what my total weight is but would say the engine is around 3 1/4 lb. As far as the engine you are plannning to use I would say it is two heavy. The landing gear is wire and is not ment to carry thay much weight. I get some flex. I had to add 1 1/2 Oz to the tail to get her to CG. Still she is to the nose a bit. If you use that engine and the counter weight she will be to heavy. She is an awesome bird with gas. get an engine around the 3 1/2 range. good luck and if I can be of any help I will be happy to do so.
