Default RE: Set up for Rascal 40

Hi all,

Just got back from maidening my Rascal.....
I'm WELL IMPRESSED

15 mph wind and quite bumpy so it was thrown around a bit, also 30 deg crosswind so needed to be 'on it' with the rudder.
Standard control throws are perfect and 'in character' for the model, as you rightly said Jim.
My other models are 1/5 - 1/4 scale and this flies much bigger than it looks. At 1/4 throttle and a couple of hundred foot up, it could be mistaken for full size.
The only problem I had was that I can't get my engine (ASP 61 FS) to idle low enough, on tickover - 3000 rpm ish - it just didn't want to land
Time for an onboard glow I think.

Anyhoo, thanks again for the advice.
I'm gonna give 'the missus' a while to get used to me having ANOTHER new model, then I think I'll try the Rascal 110 - it can only be better. [8D]

Cheers guys,
Didg.
