I agree with Chuck. The best Trainer is the old Ford vs Chevy type deal. Most of us vote for the one that got us our wings. I however will be objective & even though I used the NexStar & the Tower Trainers to learn on, I really like the Thunder Tiger Trainer. If it is the one I'm thinking of that comes with the ARF & a TT .42 engine for $159 then you choose your own radio & flight pack, I think that is a great deal!! I've heard nothing but praises about that engine & from the picture I think the ARF itself is a much nicer looking plane than my Tower or my NexStar. In fact I would go as far as to say imo it's the sharpest looking little Trainer of the bunch![sm=thumbup.gif][sm=thumbup.gif][sm=thumbup.gif]
Any of them will get the job done. With your Foamie experience you will probably solo quite quickly. I guess it really just boils down to which one you like the best & how much money you want to spend on a Trainer. The TT W/Engine for $159 leaves room to buy a decent radio too. Which is something worth thinking about. Good luck, I know you will do well after already flying the Foamies.

If this is the bird you're looking at, I stand corrected. It is $150 for the ARF with the TT .42 Engine. What a great buy & a sharp looking little plane. If I had it to do all over again, this is the Trainer I would buy hands down, it's a no brainer for me!
