A timer is one of the few additional functions I wish mine had!
A timer and a piece of velcro!!!!
Seriously. You can get a countdown timer in the baking section at Walmart. Put a piece of velcro on the back of the timer and one on the radio. Now you have a countdown timer on your radio. And no, not trying to be funny. This is what I do for my radios that don't have a timer.

Very cool. That's even better than what I use because you don't have to take your eye off of the plane to see how much time is left!!! Thanks
