if your going to go cheap, then go dirt cheap, the absolute cheapest you can find. that way when you decide to upgrade you wont loose too much money. because r/c's will only sell for about 1/2 what you paid for them, and thats if they are still in great shape.

EDIT: also as for upkeep they all require pretty much the same amount.
