I just Installed wheel pants on my cap 232.
the installation is not explained in the instructions.
My way (and i am sure there are much better ways) were to drill axel size holes in each side of the pant after locating the desired position of the wheel. Bright light behind so you can see where the axel touches the pant. I then spread the pant open enough to tighten the wheel collar. I then positioned the plane on a table and orenited the profile of the pant with the aircraft.
I used a 1/16th bit and drilled through the fiber glass landing gear 1/2" above the axel on the center of the strut. Then used a short wood screw to keep the pant from moving.
My way. I hope you get better advice.
