It lists you as being in Jacksonville FL if thats correct there are at least two local RC tanking clubs in your area.
ETO and First Coast Armor Division. as well as SEAD which is based out of Atlanta. RC is fun but alone it gets boring.
I would recommend you go to one of their meetings or practices to see what the higher priced tanks are like(tamiya full options with battle units). As well as seeing some really good scratch built tanks.

I will warn you that if you like RC and are the least competitive if you go see the Tamiya tanks in action you will become hooked

and will wind up driving to Danville VA for Battle Days
If you do decide to build a Tamiya kit once you have decided which one (pershing if you have any sense

talk to people about the extras you need and the little quirks and tweaks. It will save you a LOT of time
