I just finished the Kange Waco with a 45cc Homelite conversion engine. It's a good mix between a scale sport flyer and an aerobatic bird. The homelite is only a couple ounces heavier, if any at all, from the DA 50 (I have one in a EF Yak). You may also want to look at Hobby Lobby. They have a new 105" hi wing plane. It's nice looking, similar to a cessna. I think its designed for a 30cc engine, but with power management should be OK. It would give you plenty of power if you ever wanted to add floats.
