Default RE: Gas Engine for 3D?

ORIGINAL: H.Dale

I would like to get a plane somewhere in the 11-13 lb range, 68"-72" wing span for 3D. I want to use gas instead of glow. Are there any good gas engines available for that size plane? I notice Horizon has a new Zenoah G20ei. Would it be a good match?

Thanks for any help.

Hal
No the ZG20ei does not have the go go and is heavy for 3D.

The EV1.6 with a SK carbon fiber pipe with a good 18x6 on a F90(or now x100) or Giles UL or 73" QQ will be your best small gas set ups. You need to stay 11 pounds or under at lower elevations. At higher elevations you need to stay even lighter.

When the BME55 becomes available look for it to be the 3D motor choice for 1100in+ birds weighing 12 to 14 pounds. [8D]
