mine venus 2 has about 10 flights on it so far, and I LIKE IT...I am using an Eflite Power 60 motor, Jeti 77 opto speed control
6S 4000 mah packs...16 X 10 prop at 7000 rpm max.....no the RPM isn't as high as the fuel motors get, but if you do the math, the pitch speed is higher, so it all works out the same in the end. point is there is absolutely no shortage of power/vertical...about the same as a 120, and the model flies wonderfully at 8 lbs one ounce.
It is definitely a keeper in my opinion. ( for what it's worth) kE flight is almost hands off, and the inverted portion of a 1/2 reverse Cuban needs absolutely no down elevator. The only tricky part is that it's a little floaty on the landings...start the approach a little high, and you are definitely going to be going around again.
