Generation
Back in the early 90's near when I first got into the hobby I purchased a pattern plane from a club member, the plane was called a Generation or a Generation II. The plane was a(I think) foam core wing and stab, with plug in wings. It was also equipped with mechanical retracts with one retract servo in each wing. The engine was mounted inverted with the tune pipe recessed in the under side of the fuse.
I purchased the plane as a bear plane. The engine I purchased for it was an MVVS .77. this engine proved to be a nightmare in the inverted application. the only way I could start the engine was to build a stand to set the plane in upside down and start the engine with the head pointing up.
The engine ended up being the demise of the plane. Inflight engine failured were the norm.
Now why am I bringing this up? I got out of the hobby for a while due to a move and am getting ready to get back into the hobby. I really liked the plane even though I never got to fly it to it's potential. I love to build and if I could find a set of plans for this plane I would love to build another one.
I'd like to get some opinions on this aircraft and locate someone with a set of plans for it. I don't know if it fall into the classic real of pattern planes, but would like to know.
Thank for any info or help.
