I have the opportunity to get a Byron F-86 kit, with a NIB OPS 80 and Fan unit. Not sure of the ages. Kit partially started. Fibergalss fuse, foamcore wings.

My questions:

Is this a good starter jet?
How's that engine going to be for it? (Not sure of what Fan Unit)
Would it be okay without retracts?
Grass takeoff? How much runway?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
