If it helps, I went thorugh the first motor pretty quickly, but once I stopped flying in grass or letting tail hit weeds on driveway (and got 2 heat sinks) I have been on same tail motor now for 3 weeks and about 30 packs... and I would certainly encourage as little testing as possible if it wont move... much cheaper to assume and replace tail motor than to burn up a 4-1 testng $10.00 motor.

Amazing how stable they are spinning down to the ground huh ?!?!?!?!?!?! WHen my tail went out it would goup and down just fine.... it owuld just be spinning madly while it did.

Glad to say after a month I can take off, land, forward flight (tail, left, right in) wihtout the t gear... also it was a little EASIER once I took off the gear... less wobble induced by the balls... once you can land well wihtout hitting tail take them off... they dont help in real crash anyway.
