The Sportsman Aviation Spit looks quite nice and flies really well. It's not scale enough to assign an exact mark but its sort of a IX, V & II hybrid. 64" I think. Not as nice as KMP/YT but you did say Mk IX or earlier. It might be hard to get though. I liked mine enough to buy another after I totalled it!
Spitmad, where did you get your YT spit? In Melbourne? I'd like to have alook at one.
Alan, I know the prototype YT Spit flew on an RCV90 but would it really fly well with an OS91FS or is a 120 preferable?
I have had two Sportsman Spits (both lost in mid-airs - formation flying
!) and they were great (cheap too!) but not a patch on the ESM for scale appearance and durability of a glass fuse
Got my ESM Spit from Addies Hobbies in Carrum, also try Roj's in Fairfield or Col Taylor in Wagga......you may struggle as they were all snapped up pretty quickly!
