I decided to try flaperons on my Giles (which I love to fly), with a little down elevator mixed in. When I first deployed the flaps, the plane went into a pretty steep dive, so I took out almost all of the down elevator. Tried again and still got a dive. Looks like I might have to mix in up elevator to hold level. Does this make sense? Anybody else tried this with the GP Giles?
