RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D
Thanks Db,
yeah we tried the Slightly turn the screw in and out, but nothing seemed to work, I think he turned it more then he thought he did, and it almost feels like a secondary problem may be occurring, Which is probably the reason he touched it to begin with, so I told him to change out all his fuel lines this week, and he told me the Fuel tank cap was originally glued on cause the screw was stripped out of the plastic, so he is going to take care of all that first, then we will mess with the air screw again.
I don't fear the air screw at all, but if it doesn't need to be messed with, I don't, Its usually the last resort, however,, I've had to replace the air screw on my 70 4 stroke twice now because of 2 hard crashes that cracked the carb and busted off the needle valve casing, with the factory set specs to go by, I had to do no tuning at all, I just set it at home when I rebuilt the plane, took her to the field and she fired right up, ,,,,Love OS,,,, it runs perfectly.
so to any beginner pilots with no engine experience, I let them know not to mess with it at all, unless they are looking to become an expert. after all,, you have to learn somehow, I did.
