Modifications for sig kadet LT-40 help needed
I don't know if this is the best place to ask this kind of question, but seen as though most people who have an LT-40 post here, I thought it would be the best place to ask. If not, then someone please redirect me to another place where these questions can be answered better.
Anyway, I want to do a few modifications to my sig kadet LT-40. I've been flying it for a few months now and are pretty good at the flying aspect and looking to do any kind of modifications to it that improves the performance or will make it more capable of performing more air manoeuvres. What are some modifications I can make to the LT-40?
One can be flaps. Could you add flaps on a LT-40?
One other modification question that doesn't really have to do with performance, but looks. I am just adding on real windows right now and want to put a cockpit in the front. There is enough room behind the gas tank so it would work. What I want to know is there are cockpit kits out there for other airplanes, would some of these kits work for the LT-40 if they could be slightly modified to fit so that it wouldn't alter it in a big way? Or I was thinking of making my own. Where is a place where I can get cockpit decals or stickers of the various instruments? I also would have to maybe make my own seats. Is there a place where you could get small airplane like seats?
And one other thing. I'm making the front window on the pilots side so that it can open and close. What is the best way to make it do this? Right now, I was just thinking of putting a hinge on the window and attaching it to the plane. It looks like a crude method but would work. Any tips on this? And how about keeping the door close. How would I do that? I was thinking of a latch idea but I don't know where to get really small latches. Advice and tips on all these things would be helpful. Thanks.
