IMO: I have and will NEVER buy or fly an ARF for the reasons mentioned.
The kits from the "Pacific Ring" are being assembled by people with dubious plane-building skills. They simply do not understand planes and the stresses encountered during flight. Heck, even some of the people HERE don't seem to understand them!
Since the plane is already covered, it's impossible to determine the quality of the wood, the glue joints, or the structural design/integrity.
If I have to "go over the joints with CA..." before I even begin assembly (You don't BUILD an ARF, you ASSEMBLE it.), then I would rather start with a kit or a set of plans.
