RE: Mosqitobite TriPacer going on the workbench.
Daryl,
Man I am sorry to hear that your experiance with MBP was so unfavorable. I got one of the first production kits and it build like a dream. I couple of heart attacks have sidelined me a while so mine has not flown. My kit was missing the two inboard wing ribs and ken sent me a matched set by air mail. When I had a question about something he would answer my E-mails within an hour or two. We talked on the phone several times and he was always friendly and helpful. Ken is the designer. He does not run the production shop or the front office. He does, however, have to answer for their failings. I dont' know the boss and have had no dealings with him. Ken is the guy I go to and he has never failed to deliver. MBP has some stuff on the drawing board and I hope to build a few of them as they mature.
You can shoot your airplane to pieces if you want to, but it would be a waste. Why not offer it to a club member or to some deserving modeler who lacks the funds to build one. Who knows, you might feel better if you gave it away. Blasting it might give you some fun, but the bad taste will remain. Im sure you built a very pretty plane. It seems a waste to blow it away.
