WOW.. that sounds like the old Coverite Black Baron film of years gone past. The colored portion would stick with the grip of a gorilla holding a banana.. but the clear part would lift off with little time.

I too will stick with monokote

My first ever ARF is a World Model Sky Raider Mach II, covered with Thoughlon. But I have now experienced (after much flying with the model) that the covering has started to peel from the nose area. It's not just the peeling off which is the problem. When it peels off it leaves the printed pattern stuff on the wood but the clear plastic sheeting peels off. Now the problem starts you just cant stick this plastic film back with an iron and to atach some other covering you have to first sand off the remainder of the film from the wood before it takes the fresh film.
I have two new rolls of this material lying with me and I think I am going to trade it for some thing else and stick to Monokote.
