Your post got my attention on the weight of this edge ,so before I loaded it up tonight I weighed it ,it rocks the scales at almost 12 lbs ,I knew it was a tad on the heavy side but not that much.Now you see why i'm seriously considering the 160 for the plane.I'll make that final decision tomorrow ,I changed props from a 16x8 graupner to a 16x8 APC that will give me about 4-500 more RPM's and it may be all the plane needs .
I think when they give a weight on the planes its a empty weight ,just the airframe alone .I will admit this much its well built and maybe over built to come up to this sort of weight. But here again the box does say its a 140 sized plane ,but it dosent say weather thats a 2 or 4 stroke engine .
