Default RE: FAST BOAT ?

Hi there....i have that same motor, as well as a walkera 380M (3100kv) and am undecided as to which to put into a micro-redbird i bought...any ideas? re the NQD - i'd buy an empty hull to start with, forget about RTR cheapos which you intend to cannibalise. I've done that a few times - and it's way too expensive in the end and results are mediocre at best!! I have seen them run in real life (or real death actually) cos the thing seems to have an identity crisis...doesn't seem to be too sure whether it's a hydroplane or a sub.
Even with brushless components you'd be sacrificing performance cos of the badly designed very heavy hull (which is leaky too)....

Check out www.astecmodels.co.uk they have never let me down. If you're a beginner i suggest you go with one of the smaller v-hulls - you just have to epoxy the hull and deck together, and not have to worry about flexishafts and complicated stuff, which would be the case if you buy a hydro or cat.

All the best,
Andrew
