ok im thinking of purchasing this boat (see link) http://cgi.ebay.com/HYDROPLANE-RADIO...ayphotohosting , then taking out the drivestyem thats instaled and changing the motor, putting in this motor, http://cgi.ebay.com/B20-Brushless-mo...QQcmdZViewItem with a proper 30Amp esc (brushless), still using the standard props and stuff, until problem. do you think this would be a good setup???? how fast would you think somthing like this would go, and if anyones bought this boat lets see some pics or comment on its preformance. thanks

Sorry man, I think other people would agree with me when I say you are wasting your money. Go out and find something else or you can wait just a little bit longer and get a SuperVee 27.

Nice boat for the money so I read. I have one on the way and all the right gear to make her rip is coming too. Check it out.

Hi there....i have that same motor, as well as a walkera 380M (3100kv) and am undecided as to which to put into a micro-redbird i bought...any ideas? re the NQD - i'd buy an empty hull to start with, forget about RTR cheapos which you intend to cannibalise. I've done that a few times - and it's way too expensive in the end and results are mediocre at best!! I have seen them run in real life (or real death actually) cos the thing seems to have an identity crisis...doesn't seem to be too sure whether it's a hydroplane or a sub.
Even with brushless components you'd be sacrificing performance cos of the badly designed very heavy hull (which is leaky too)....
Check out www.astecmodels.co.uk they have never let me down. If you're a beginner i suggest you go with one of the smaller v-hulls - you just have to epoxy the hull and deck together, and not have to worry about flexishafts and complicated stuff, which would be the case if you buy a hydro or cat.
All the best,
Andrew

LOL, no. You would see maybe 25-30mph from what you have described
I don't understand this.
