The flybar provides two things. One is power steering for the main blades, remember that we use fairly small electric motors (servos) to move our controls whereas full scale use hydraulic systems.

The other is it imparts gyroscopic stability to the rotor system.

Flybarless flying is mostly for scale where you loose points in static judging for having a flybar.

If you have G3 try some of the scale jobs like the Jet Ranger or 222 in the scale head configuration.
