Second helicopter advice!
Hey folks,
About a week ago i bought LAMA 2 V3, since then i've got it airborne and can hover tail in and almost nose in, and can land on a DVD case.
So far i've become highly addicted and need more, i am really wanting to buy a collective pitch helicopter to learn something more advanced, as, to be honest the LAMA, allthough a challenge in itself, didnt seem to be the challenge i was expecting. I understand a single rotor CP heli will be a FAR bigger challenge, and will take some real time and effort.
Now this is where i need some advice, I bought the LAMA over the internet, but after a trip to the local hobby shop i learnt they only stock 1 helicopter that i think suits my needs (£200 or thereabouts for a ready to fly deal), this is the Twister CP v2. They also stock spares/ will order spares in for me when i need them and have offered full support and any help/advice i need.
However, i have also been looking at a Honeybee CP2, i would have to get this over the internet and therefore would also have to buy spares over the internet, and i am not sure i want to end up with a heli that i have to order things for when i crash. I like to be able to go somewhere and get the parts whenever i can, and as i will no doubt crash numerous times i think i would be wise to go for something i can source parts for locally.
What are your views on having to order parts over the internet?
Thanks for reading and taking the time to help.
