If you're just learning, The Deb would be an excellent choice as it is more durable than the traditional balsa and will survive the punishment a new pilot tends to put his model thru during the learning process.

As for servo's, you can always check ebay. you can find real bargins there sometimes.

.I think TH is seling the system 3000 TX,RX,batteries,charger,servos,etc for $139.00.
I think they also sel the cheaper servo but with BB for $17.95 each
