Same prob here as well. Same skids you have. I found that I dont need the front rod. I just use the back and it holds nice and tight. No need for the front one. But Im also using a Thunderpower lipo and it sits fairly far out front so maybe that helps keep the canopy tight.

You could always get a slightly longer rod. What you do is lay it across the llong rods that run lengthways down the landing gear. Use heavy thread and make a few wraps on each side to hold that CF rod against the other 2 and use CA glue on the thread . Works amazing. It stiffens right up and takes a LOT to break.
