Congrats. on two very good flights! The Flash certainly is not underpowered with the SS, vertical performance looked to be excellent.
The Jet 1A oleos looked to work very well on grass, I can see I have made the correct decision to order a set!
Your young pilot appears to be very skilled, a very smooth performance, he was rolling back and forth so fast I could hardly follow the model.
Best regards
John
Thanks john
it is indeed not underpowered at all with the SS , i have thought about putting in a Graupner Jetcat P-60 but i strongly believe one would need a lot of runway on grass and will be underpowered.
it is and i stronlgy believe this the perfect choice for a moderate flyer.
with a ulysses 140 from us it will outfly anything in the 118mm size , but then it will be a heavy bird , with some thust residue.
and for me personaly a tricky one to land with a short runway.
it is not that i am only dedicated to Wren but there is no one else with this power to weight ratio that comes close.
also keep in mind the exhaust velocity is much higher therefor you can see in the video that the start was moderate/quick
but as soon it was flying you could see the speed building up fast.
with the Wren we had vertical until we could almost not see it anymore.
The oleo,s work indeed very well , i am using the heavy springs now that are normaly for the Boomerang XL.
you can see it really but when passing us we could see the knees bending a few cm while taking off.
maybe i will exchange them to a lighter version.
the frontt spring we changed to a softer one , and works perfect.
i think as service we will put a set of 3 springs for free for real bad gras strips.
so that people can make a choice in what to use.
the field at the pampa,s is covered with rabbit holes at the moment , still you cant see the flash bounce for one minute.
yes he is a good pilot , and he will be flying for us at the jetpower meeting 2006.
i know he is really looking forward to that , and he can meet some of his fellow pilots .
