RE: Please help.
The Super Vee is 38mph right out of the box due to Brushless motors. Brushless is a recent advance in electric DC motors that are much more efficient on power and run times. The brushed motors can't even compare. The Hammer EP is a great boat to get started with and it's relatively speedy right out of the box. MPH on water is much different than on land and this boat is fun. If you are looking to get into the hobby and actually learn more about the upgrade process' and options in rc boating then this is a great starter. I just bought one for a friend who's new to the hobby and he loves it. The Hammer runs probbably about half the speed if not slightly less than the Super Vee but it still has quite a bit of run time and speed to go around. I'd go with the Hammer to start and if you like it. upgrade and mod it till you get it as fast as possible. In the process you'll learn a ton of things that will help you when and if you decide to go with a new more expensive boat.
