The Somethin' Extra is a huge leap for someone who is "really new". I really don't want you to get discouraged but go find someone at your local club field to give you a hand. The other thing is, did your local hobby shop recommend this plane to you? If so, my recommendation is to take it back to them and get into a trainer aircraft. Yeah, I know, a little more subdued than the Somethin' Extra but you'll be better off for now.
