Looks like you might have too much hinge gap as well. When you cut them, and install the elevator joiner as per the instructions, try to close the gap a little more. If you can't figure out how to do all this, email me direct at [email protected] I have put a couple of these birds together. I will attach a pic of this exact elevator assembly that I just happen to have laying around.....LOL
I agree that is too much hinge gap. Especially on the right stab.
I remember thinking how well the SE manual was written at the time I put mine together. I'm surprised your having problems.
