RE: Venus II
I lost my V II in a mid-air two weekends ago. Ran into an Ultra Stik being flown by a novice on a buddy box with an instructor pilot. Nobody's fault really, but my Venus was totally destroyed. The Ultra Stik landed with a damaged wing.
I salveged the engine and all the radio gear, all checks out O.K., except one aileron servo stripped a gear.
I'm nearing completion of my 2nd V II (ordered it the afternoon following the crash). I had just gotten my 1st one flying the way it should and was really starting to enjoy a nicely trimmed pattern plane. Now I am starting all over again. I do have the program saved on my 9303, so I will have a good starting point.
I should have the new plane in the air this weekend if all goes well. I only flew the 1st one for 4 months, and it took no time at all to decide to get the 2nd one. I don't think you can beat this plane for the money.
