Fair enough. I was only commenting on what has gone before, but you are correct that they are (or can be) separate issues that can be dealt with independently. I think the reason they are linked is that the screaming fast planes all used retracts as well. But all the retract equipped planes are not necessarily running piped engines. Ones like the Dirty Birdy, UFO, Kwik-Fly, etc.
