Default RE: Servos for 1/4 scale...

My SIG 1/4th Clipped wing Cub has been flying with all standard JR servo (517 type servo) for the last 15 years. Has a 120 engine (2stroke) and do mild aerobatics (Top hat, inverted, loops and rolls). Last flown was 2 days ago. Never had any problem at all. It is one of the veteran planes of the club!

Same here...standard JR servos all around (I think I have a coreless on the rudder, though...) not a bit of trouble. I went with the giant 1/4 scale Hitec servos on my other cub, and I can not see any difference in control reponse between the two of them. It is not an erobatic airplane, so the most severe stress on thme is probably taxiing on rough ground.....
