RE: super chipmunk
OK, lets try to get a few things straight. That Chipmunk is not a Goldberg. It is one of the Chinese copies that is sold on the internet and ebay. These copies have very poor instructions and the parts fit and level of completion are nowhere near as good as the name brand ARFs. They are cheap and offer a good alternative for the experienced builder.
Unless you have expert help, you will not be able to assemble a flyable airplane from that kit.
And if you did manage to get it together, you would find that it is much, much harder to fly than your 15 size 3 channel trainer.
Put that Chipmunk aside for now and buy something from Great Planes, Hobbico or Hanger 9. These ARFs come with instructions that will allow a first time builder to successfully put it together. (The Pulse XT from Hanger 9 would be an excellent choice.) After you have built a couple of planes with good instructions, you may be able to figure out how that Chipmunk goes together.
