I have not run my Briggs yet so can not confirm the RPM. But Prop Nut did a lot of work with the Briggs and here is a link to one of his threads.

I became interested in the Briggs after seeing the video of Prop Nut's Fokker DVII with one of these engines. It sounds great and the engine seems to have enough power to haul the 20lb plane around the sky well.
It is important to choose the right airframe though - lots of wing area recommended as the engine weigh's over 6 pounds after conversion.
The work Brilleli did on mine is absolutely first class and it didn't cost the earth either.
