RE: looking for a basher
I see where you are coming from. Mine went through the first during the 1st tank of break in, Ive run nitros for 5 years and know the proper break in procedure, tuning and upkeep. I wasnt running it hard during breakin at all, not even 1/2 throttle and the first one went out. The second went out 1/2 way through the 2nd tank of break in fuel. The manual said to snug then back off 1/8 turn. Well it was snug for 4 full turns. So I tightened it till it wiould move under power and it went out again. I sent it back and it was a defect from the factory. They installed a new trans and broke it in. I got it back and went full aluminum. RC10 GT Spur, Aluminum idler, Aluminum diff and carbide bearings. She is now a good truck to run. I was merely letting him know that if he is new to nitro, then maybe the evader isnt what he needs just yet. Adjusting the diff is a touchy process. I love mine now, she is a Bullet Proof beasty!
