Default RE: Where to start...??

Eh depends on how much he wants for it. That buggy still has the worthless stock ofna electronics in it which is exactly the stuff I said he would need to upgrade if he bought an RTR. The steering servo will lose torque after about 3 quarts of fuel and the buggy wont turn, the throttle servo doesn't have enough torque to pull the brakes so you wont have any brakes. The stock radio is prone to glitching and the inputs it gives to the servo aren't to precise.

If you can get the buggy for $200 like it says in the thread then it might be worth it. Just upgrade the radio to a Futaba 2PL 75mhz ($80 and it might come with servos), and if the radio doesn't come with servos then get the Futaba S3305 ($35) for steering and the S3010 ($25) for throttle/brake. A reciever pack (about $30) would also be good to have because it puts more power to your electronics making them perform better. If you did it this way that would come out to $370 and would be a lot cheaper then buying a new kit, electronics, and especially an engine. He might also include all of the small stuff like a glow ignitor and if that is a PBS or a PCR it should come with a starter box so you don't need to screw with a pull starter.
