Default RE: building a halftrack.

The Trumpeter T34 is a good model and a great STARTING PLACE for a R/C conversion but believe me it is a labor of love to assemble. So much so I have begun assembling the pieces to do another version. I love punishment.

The WSN toy is a good STARTING POINT for a good T34 model but it needs work in the R\C as well as detail areas. Everything needs to be beefed up and I am lucky to have gotten this far with the exising gearboxes.

It will cost $800 dollars to get it working with real gearboxes and Tamiya electronics. My 76 mm turret conversion required scratchbuilding a recoil mechanism that fits in a much smaller space than the 85mm turret. You could cheat and have no recoil but I wanted to go farther.

I recommend this build as an excercise in the R/C tank hobby and I enjoy having a fairly unique tank on the battlefield.

By the way, the build is on my site at www.desertarmor.com

Thanks Kevin O, I appreciate the pimping of my site at all times.
