Default RE: The Badius Owners Club

OK..........How about this for a total beginner being brain dead.......Tried to fly my SD Cub this afternoon. This would be the first flight since installing ailerons. Taxied out. Hit the throttle. Plane took off and immediatly banked left. I corrected right and it immediatly rolled left and nosed in. Broke the prop....Dang, forgot my box......Check the plane and found out I forgot to crimp the connector on the control cable.....Hmmmmmmm...That most have been it.....Drive back to the house.....crimp the connector and adjust trim.....replace prop..(my last one).....back to the field.....Try again...taxie out.....Hit the throttle....plane takes off and immediatly banks left again.....This time I corrected slightly and guess what...IT BANKED MORE TO THE LEFT....DAAAAAAAAAA......I had the ailerons reversed.....Now the plane is in the air, flying with me flying it with reversed controls....If you've never done this, try it some time.......serching my pockets for something small to flip the switch.....Nothing.....decided that I'd better bring it down, before Something bad happens......Approach good....10 ft........5ft.......3ft.....opps......Flipped it over......broke my last prop......Oh Well......Could have been worse....At least I know it flys....Pat
