Default RE: MACCHI MC 200 SAETTA ARF

The macchi you ordered was it from Nitro Models? The model I got was from a company called Flyboys and the kit was called Airkil. The fuselage that I got was in good shape but the panel lines need a little more work. The wing is a open bay type build up wing but was covered with a plastic type covering. When you build your plane I would suggest you add more fiberglass between the firewall and the first bulkhead. The plane needs a lot of nose weight to balance so don't be to concerned about the added weight. My plane had a engine failure on the 4th flight and that area felt a little soft afterwards. I repaired it with fiberglass and its nice an rigid again. The retracts really add to the appearance of the plane when it flys by and the Great Planes retracts are very inexpencive. The flaps are a big help when landing since this plane as a very narrow wing and a lot of weight to hold up. The plane as a very nice look on the ground and in the air. Good luck on your new project...Bob
