Supposedly that wont hurt it, but I wouldn't leave it that way. If you can get the tube out, warm the end and bend it to follow the curve, letting the cord come out straight. If you can't get it out warm it carefully and bend it in a bit. I'd go ahead and pull it, even if I had to replace the cord afterward.
