There's a reference to this thread over in the beginners section and the point is that he
is a beginner and we all had to start somewhere. There are some things (like using a prop) that are so obvious even if you've only ever run an engine once that we just don't think about it. But if you've never run an engine and don't know the first thing about them....
I've just bought my first electric model and I'm totally out of my depth trying to understand what the heck they're talking about. Believe me, I know what it feels like to be a newbie now

because who'd have believed they run in a brushed motor (how do they work without brushes?) by giving them a shaft run in a glass of water?
