How to start 3D???
alex,
If youre flying an underpowered plane, stick with kinetic maneuvers (snaps, spins, blenders, etc). The last thing you want to do is try and hang it off the prop low n slow, and not have the power to spare. If you can get your hands on a good funfly plane (magic, morris planes, etc) that has a good 36 or 46 two stroke, or a 63-72 4 stroke, have at it. It's alot cheaper if you dork one of those than a big gasser. Granted, the larger they are, the easier they fly, but you'll burn less fuel, and if youre low enough, you wont tear up a plane. You can also get away with standard servos as well. In the last 2 weekends flying, I have managed to plant my magic into the ground no less than 7 times trying to do tailtouches, and only broke one prop, and had to move my landing gear to a different spot after ripping it out. LOLOLOL. Talk about cheap entertainment.
Another alternative would be to build a PBF, Disc, Tennis Ball, etc. They are virtually indestructable, and cost a bout 10 bucks in material. Just make sure you buy plenty of props, because you'll be chewing them up. Do a search on PBF's. The round ones (disc/tennis ball) fly much better than the boxes. They will definately make you use the left hand (throttle/rudder).
