Default RE: Need a little help here.

I have a Hanger 9 cub arf with a os 46 fx and it flys very well. I liked this one bacause of the landing gear and the two piece wings. The struts need to be on the plane when flying because the wing can fold if they are not used. This plane also comes with the most visable inside pieces painted yellow to match the plane and the front windshield also has the edges painted to match. Plus this plane comes with a fiberglass cowl with the fake engines molded in and its a very nice looking piece. The struts are installed one the wing and you dont need to take them all the way off they just stay on the wing. Then when you get to the field you slide the wing on the wing tube and install two nylon bolts thru the opening on the top of the fuse then there are to small bolts on each side that hold the struts to the fuse and to finish you install four screws to hold the fuse top hatch in place. By the way the hatch comes with a little plastic window that makes it easy to see how much fuel is left in the tank. I put a plywood plate on mine to hold a pilot figure and with th 46 i ended up using a 1/2 ounce of lead on the tail to balance so if you decide to go with a four stroke it may be close to perfect. Check the parts out for it the cowl is like $13.99 and some others are near $20.00 and are plain. It's a sweet plane.

I also kit built the Great Planes Piper 40 but i made the clipped wing version and installed a os 70 four stroke. This plane is a lot sportier to fly but to me it is no where near as good looking as the Hanger 9 cub.
